Son Gideas has a new album out on Signalis.
Son Gideas' self-titled album is one of the culminations of 40 years of friendship and bonding over the love of music. It had always been Thomas' and Jerry's aspiration to ‘do something together’ like record an album for many years, and in the course of the pandemic and heightened musical sharing they finally committed to the idea and began writing and recording Son Gideas. Living in different countrys, they swapped tracks over the internet between Seattle and Toronto with Jerry handling all things technical. The song choices more or less spontaneously arose out of inspiration for the new project and feeling out what would fit together. Then there was the unspoken competition to write a better song. In the end the ten songs collectively offered were pretty easily accepted as a great place to meet musically. Get your copy of Song Gideas today at or stream on your favourite service!
Son Gideas is Seattle-based multi-instrumentalist Thomas Gerard (Radio Van Gogh) with Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer and mixer, Jerry Hammack (Throttle Body M/C, Dry Bones).

Since 1990, Throttle Body M/C has been pushing sonic boundaries, whether through the straight-up rock-n-roll of AIDS and Language, For The Few and Marley's Chain (the last two compiled in the digital collection, Hits 1992-1994 (The Greatest Band That Never Was (But Still Is) Part I), the pop explosions of Air Canada and A Typical Wednesday, the experimental, downtempo-influenced Nine or the unlikely Lonely Days (The Ukulele Album), great songs and inspried performances have always been foremost.
